Pros: This manipulation has a good compositional placement which follows the rule of 2/3rds. I also feel that having an isolated area of color saturation on the woman carrying the lamp is creating good contrast and thus good focus.
Cons: I feel that could be changed is the background which I feel is too dark which in turn is flattening out your image. I would suggest lighting the background up about 5% and this will create a stronger background. Lastly you have a background and middle ground but no foreground. I would suggest adding something to the foreground like more mushrooms or something in the forest for added depth.
Very lovely work! I love the fog and the contrast of the light. The little boy is very... little compared to the birds and the trees, but I guess he could be a very literally little boy. But great job!
Like it too! Though I wonder if there is too mcuh empty space to the right?! Just maybe there should be some hint of something lurking under the tree trunk!!?
Nicely done! Love the contrast between the small character illuminated by warm light and the cold, dark background. To be honest, I haven't noticed the woman behind a tree at first glance, but now that I see her I think I can safely say that she perfectly fits with the slightly mysterious, quiet atmosphere. Both the concept and its execution are great. Wonderful job!
